Learn to let go of Anger


  You heard the story of the psychiatrist who raised a glass of water and asked how heavy the glass was ... right?  Some said 8oz some said 20oz, the psychiatrist then said "it doesn't matter, what matters is how long you are going to hold it".   If you hold it for a minute it won't matter, if you hold it for an hour your arm will start to hurt but if you hold it for a day your arm will feel numb and paralyzed. Whether you hold it for a minute, an hour or a day, the weight of the glass is the same the difference is in how long you will hold it.

  The psychiatrist in the story was trying to illustrate the effect of negative feelings we carry in our heart. The longer we hold on to it the more debilitating it can be.

  Letting go of something that's bothering isn't always easy.  The sooner we master this ability the more we can enjoy life and our loved ones.  Letting go doesn't mean compromising yourself. There is a very fine line in between , almost always close to invisible. A mid point.  Where your mind accepts what is for whatever reason and is then able to move on.

  How do you get to that fine line?  Like everything else you will need to take some steps.  First is to give yourself the time you need to feel what is in your heart. Cry if you need to. PUT THAT DARK CLOUD ASIDE FOR A MOMENT!  You are not ignoring it, you are simply going to give your rational brain a chance to speak.

  Anger can be like two siblings in the middle of a disagreement, wouldn't you give them both a chance to speak? Now you are following me!   Go back and forth if you have to and listen to both reasons and excuses.  THERE IS WHERE YOU WILL FIND THE LINE BETWEEN ANGER AND RESONANCE.

  You have now my friend found the point where you can let go of what's holding you back from being simply wonderfully YOU. At this point you have the choice to hold on to it or let go.   In some cases holding on can mean moving on. You don't necessarily keep it but rather you take that and move on with it, using it in your benefit.

  Which ever may be, it should bring up the best of you.  Get up, take a deep breath and walk away a better person. Feel proud of yourself for you are better and stronger. You've just accomplished a wonderful thing!

  Life gives us all difficult moments, no one is excused. Use it as a ladder to climb to a higher place.

Você está escolhendo para ser feliz?

      E incrível quantas pessoas estão infelizes nos dias de hoje. Ouça tudos ao seu redor e você vai se surpreender. Se é sua situação financeira, seus relacionamentos ou sua vida de trabalho, parece que sempre há algo a queixar.

     Tem aqueles que parecem ter um sorriso em seus rostos todos os dias, que cumprimentá-lo com palavras agradáveis, aqueles que têm sempre um comentário positivo para adicionar um elogio para dar! Eles não têm problemas na vida?

     Não me levou muito tempo para perceber que ~ felicidade ~ é uma escolha! É isso mesmo! A diferença entre a gente triste e as almas felizes é sua perspectiva na vida.

    Meu interesse no comportamento humano começou muito cedo na minha vida, como desde menina me lembro ler livros que pareciam ser bastante avancados para o meu intendimento, mas eu realmente gostava e estava profundamente interessado em compreender as pessoas. Notei que algumas pessoas não importa o que de ruim acontecia, parecia não afetá-los tanto quanto comparando com outras pessoas. Por outro lado, havia um grupo de pessoas que se queixava mesmo nos bons momentos de suas vidas. É um hábito? Está no nosso DNA? Ainda não tenho a resposta mas ~ eu sei que você tem a escolha e que dependendo da sua escolha, ela vai lhe trazer felicidade ou tristeza.

    Isso realmente me ajudou a entender as pessoas e a mim. Você sempre tem a escolha. Em qualquer momento em sua vida, você pode mudar isso. Se você perceber que sua perspectiva na vida so arrasta você para baixo, você pode virar. Como tudo, quanto mais você pratica melhor você chegar lá! Além do "brilho", você irá adicionar a mesmo existe a ~ lei da atração ~ onde diz você atrai mais do que você é. Não é maravilhoso!!!! É verdade, isso tem funcionado para mim e para muitos outros.

    E importante entender que ser positive e otimista nao significa que em sua vida nao va existir sofrimento, isso faz parte da vida.  E atraves do sofrimento que podemos aprender e crescer espitirualmente.  A diferenca esta em como voce vai lidar com isso.

Are you choosing to be happy ?
     It is incredible how many people are unhappy these days.  Listen all around you and you will be amazed.  Whether is their financial situation, their relationships or their work life, it seems as there is always something to complaint.   
    
    What about those who seem to have a smile on their faces everyday, who greet you with pleasant words, those who always have a positive comment to add a compliment to give! Don't they have problems in life? 

    It didn't take me long to realize that ~Happiness~ is a choice!  That's right!  The difference between the sad folks and the happy souls is their outlook in life.  OK. Follow along with me... I promise I have a point.  

    My interest in human behavior started very early in my life, as a little girl I recall reading books that were way out of my league but I truly enjoyed and was deeply interested in understanding PEOPLE. I noticed that some folks no matter what bad happened, it didn't seem to affect them in a way it did others.  On the other hand there were a group of people who complained even thru good times.    Is it a habit? Is it in our DNA's?  I still don't have the answer BUT ~ I know that you do have the choice and what ever you choose, it will either bring you happiness or sorrow.

    That really helped me understand people and myself.   You always have the choice.  At any point in your life you CAN change that.  If you realize that your outlook in life has been dragging you down, you can turn it around. Just like everything else, the more you practice the better you get at it!  In addition to the "glow" you will add to yourself there is the ~ Law of Attraction ~ where it says you attract more of what you are. Isn't that wonderful!!  It is true, it has worked for me and for many others. 

   It is important to understand that having a positive and optimistic outlook doesn't mean you won't go thru hardship for it is the way of life.  It is thru hardship where we LEARN and GROW spiritually.  The difference is in the way you will deal with it.

   So put on your best smile and get out there.  Be kind, be gentle.  Give without expecting.  Love without fear.  Most of us aren't being the best we can be.  How do you want your next few year to be... ?  If the last few years didn't work in your favor, What are you going to do to make sure the next few years are BETTER!!!?

Summer days are finally here and as we all look for ways to cook off (and hopefully you will!), there is only so much we can do to keep cool during the work days, right?  So I searched for the most cooling fruits and veggies you can eat.  These fruits and vegetable contain the highest amounts of water, which will keep your body hydrated and it will give you a cooler sensation from inside out J

 

 Here is the list:

How to grow your own greens

~ How to Grow your Own Greens ~






I always say: "if it's green and it grows... than it's good for you" 
 
So why not grow your own garden!!
 
Don't worry you are NOT the only one who: 1. doesn't have enough time 2. doesn't have the experience 3. doesn't have the space 4. doesn't have the budget... and the list goes on and on...  added by our unconscious fear of FAILURE :(
 
I say "unconscious" because most of us have this constant fear of failure which keeps us from going forward with new projects, ideas, opportunities and even relationships.  Without jumping too far from the subject, lets start by ACCEPTING that we are here to try, and learn and make mistakes and try again ... its wonderful




 
 
Here is everything you need to know to get started
 
1.  Growing your own greens does NOT require a lot of time.  On Saturday I went shopping for what I needed. Be sure to pick your favorites veggies and spices!!  On Sunday I planted everything in small pots (as seen in picture above).  I kept those small pots inside the house under a lamp or near a window for about 6-8 weeks.  If you are going to use a lamp for light and heat be sure to turn it off at night, plants much like yourself also need some zzz's.  After that you just need to water it as needed and eventually weather permitted you can transfer them into larger pots or outside (and keep the watering job!)
 
 
2.  You do NOT need to be an expert! you will learn as you go... You should be able to get a lot of help from the internet and bloggers ~ like me :)  You can watch videos and find loads of information to make YOU the next expert.
 



3.  You really don't NEED a lot of space... sure the more space you have the more you CAN plant but you can still grow your own green in small spaces by planting them in pots, small and large.  Spices and herbs are specially easy to plant in small pots and you can keep them right in your kitchen near a window. If you have a deck you can use some larger pots to plant tomatoes, lettuce (and all other salad greens like, kale, spinach, etc...)  If you have a yard you can select a spot where you can plant every year as some plants will come back on their own.  I just love how my mint comes back every year, bigger and better!!!
 
4.  Who said you need a lot of $$ ...a small part of the reason why most of us garden (obviously besides the wonderful pleasure of picking and eating what you have planted and because they are sooo good for your health)...is that it will save you money too!!! if you can go all summer and early fall without having to run in to the store to get salad greens, herbs and spices that sounds like $avings to me!  Seeds are NOT expensive. I have purchased mine from  Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds (link to site)http://www.rareseeds.com/ and I was very happy with EVERYTHING, from the w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l selection to the prices, delivery and overall results.
